The Historic Landmarks Preservation Center is organizing this dedication for a building where Romare and his family resided. The ceremony will be 30 to 40 minutes, to include distinguished and knowledgeable speakers who either knew the honoree, or are experts on their life and work including Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, and Co-director, Diedra Harris-Kelley.
The dedication ceremony will be videotaped, and housed at the Diamondstein-Spielvogel Video Archive at Rubenstein Library, Duke University.
