Moderator, Professor Tom Wolf, will lead a discussion with participants Mary Frank, Alison Elizabeth Taylor and Mark Schlesinger about the continuing relevance of Max Beckmann’s work on contemporary art production and how his comments on his time still fascinate us today. Plus, get a direct glimpse into what it was actually like to study with the artist in his final year of life, as we hear from Mary Frank on her experience as Beckmann’s student in 1949.
