About DC Moore Gallery
DC Moore Gallery represents a lively mix of more than twenty contemporary artists and also offers the finest in twentieth-century American painting, sculpture, and works on paper, including Modernism, Ashcan, African American, Regionalism, Social Realism, and mid-century Abstraction.
Founded in 1995, the Gallery recently relocated to Chelsea. In our expanded space, we organize fifteen to twenty exhibitions a year, ranging from historical presentations of specific periods and themes to focused one-person shows and major career retrospectives. Our publications program produces a wide range of catalogues and books with essays by well-known art historians and critics. We also frequently work with museums and other institutions, organizing joint exhibitions and sending our traveling exhibitions to their venues.
Contemporary artists represented include Eric Aho, Katherine Bowling, David Driskell, Janet Fish, Mary Frank, Mark Innerst, Yvonne Jacquette, Cynthia Knott, Joyce Kozloff, Robert Kushner, Pat Lipsky, Whitfield Lovell, Barbara Takenaga, Darren Waterston, Jane Wilson, and Alexi Worth. The Gallery also represents the foundations and estates of Romare Bearden, Roger Brown, Charles Burchfield, Robert De Niro, Sr., Jacob Lawrence, Jack Levine, Nathan Oliveira, and George Tooker.
We are dedicated to providing expertise and guidance to both beginning and established collectors, as well as working with museum, corporate, and other art professionals in the acquisition and sale of works of art. DC Moore Gallery is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America.
